As I was coming home yesterday to Houston, TX from moving my son into LSU, I decided to read your book that my sister in law had given to me. I read the whole thing on the 4 hour trip from Lafayette to Houston and am so inspired by your faith and courage! I have always had faith in God! I could never get through my day without Him! By reading the book, you certainly taught me that when something seems hopeless, if you turn to God, all things are possible.
Blessings to you and your precious family! You are such an inspiration to us all!!! P.S. Are you related to Elsie & Jim Judice?? They are family friends.

Chad, I really enjoyed your testimony last week at the Right to Life Breakfast at St. Isadore in Baton Rouge! What is your address, as I'd like to send you some pro-life cds I've done? Also, I invite you to take a tour of the American Holocaust Memorial in BR; here's a link to it per some pro-life songs I have on it: www.cpforlife.org/rainbow. Richard Mahoney, RT, is the person in charge of the Memorial - he works at OLOL Hospital in Lafayette and is good friends with Daniel Green (Tree Services) of Lafayette, as well as many other pro-lifers and Cursillo members. Hi Chad,
I have finally finished the book! How very blessed I am to have met you, now, for the second time. Thank you so much for coming to our first annual pro-life breakfast! It was such a blessing to have you there but I know in my heart, this was God's plan all along. I had a little miracle happen that day. I have been involved with pro-life for 10 years now and this was the first time I had most of my family present for a pro-life event that I was involved in! I can not tell you how long I have waited for someone in my family to be there to support the passion of life I hold so dear in my heart and soul. I have been touched by God's mercy, forgiveness, compassion in my life and have witnessed the fingerprints of God's amazing plan with the healing of my soul in the year 2003/2004. I know this is probably not the place to tell my story and I would like to write you. Just reading your book is confirmation on how much our Lord Jesus Christ walks with us every moment of our lives. When the soul is open without any residue and with complete surrender, what outpouring of grace can be visible to the eyes of the soul. My oldest daughter, Jennifer was present at the breakfast who expecting her second child in November. My grandson, Addison, was present as well. She had him on July 13, 2007, and was a single mom. It was a trying time for us as parents but the miracle of life outweighed any darkness of an unplanned pregnancy. The day she told me she was pregnant she also said "how can I take care of a baby when I can not even take care of myself". She wanted to give her baby up for adoption. As a mother of three daughters, these words pierced my heart for I felt numb because my heart could not bear to think our first grandchild may not be with us. That this child in the womb of my first born could possibly be a miracle for someone else who could not have a child. I surrendered to God's will, even as my heart was breaking to let my daughter make the decision without my influence was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I remember praying to St. Therese a novena wanting her to intercede in revealing to me whether this child would be ours to embrace or rather it would be a miracle for someone else. I began this novena in January wanting to know in my heart what God already knew. I asked St. Therese to send me a pink rose if this child would be given up for adoption or a white rose if this child would remain with us. I had been asked to be a Confirmation Sponsor. Confirmation was held in January of 2007. As I arrived at the church, the sponsors are normally given a carnation to wear but this time they were given a red rose! I found this odd but I said St. Therese, this is not the color I asked for! I was excited to get this rose. When my candidate came in, she handed me a gift bag. Right away I noticed on the gift bag were three white roses! As I took the card out of the envelope, the card had another three beautiful white roses! Then one of the gifts she had given me was a very small glass container for holy water. The cap for this holy water container was shaped like a rose and the color was white! I had 3 confirmations that day on Confirmation that this child in Jennifer's womb would be ours! Such peace overcame me that I knew no matter how things would seem on the outside, I knew this child was ours. That is one story I can share with you for now. I will write more soon for your story, Eli's heart, and your family have touched my soul to encourage me and give me strength to speak out when God's invitation presents itself to me to tell my story of being on the other side, and coming out of darkness into victory. You see, when I was 20 years old I had an abortion. It is too much for me to tell you right now but I am a witness of what God has done in my life by his intimate love, mercy and forgiveness. How he has lifted me from the pit of dispair into the glorious life of unity in his saving power. Fear has always been a plague against me and silence has been the darkness of my soul but it no longer has power over what God can do. He has gently healed my wounded soul and a great miracle transpired to bring where I am today. I know he is preparing me to tell my story and I have done so when I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is the right time. St. Therese is my patron saint and Blessed Francis Seelos walks beside me too. I have met Fr. Manny Fernandez four times but have never had a one-on-one talk with him. Maybe that is in the near future for me. Only God knows. It is so amazing when you can look back in your life and see the onimpotent hand of God working in a life that is totally his. You have touched my heart and I pray for you, Ashley, Eli and Ephraim in my heart of prayer as I ask you to keep my family in yours. They are slowly coming back to the faith. There is still so much healing to take place. When I hear of how prayerful your family have become, it is a piercing of my heart because I long for this unity of prayer within my own family. My husband, Gerry and I only have prayed the rosary once in our life together and we have been married 29 years. I have been praying for us to pray together the rosary. What a joy it would be to me! I have written too much but I felt so filled with the Holy Spirit after completing the book and having heard your story once again just yesterday. You do know that June 25 was the 30th anniversary of the Blessed Mother appearing in Medjourgre (not spelled right) How awesome is that. Maybe one day I will get to meet Ashley, Eli and Ephrian. Thank you so much for being a witness to the transforming power of Jesus Christ and the awesome treasure of our Catholic faith with the greatest miracle, the greatest gift we have as Catholics, The Holy Eucharist, Jesus' Body, Blood Soul and Divinity! My son's name is Stephen and I feel his presence around me all the time. How I long to be in heaven so I can hold him in my arms for all eternity. My heart will not be complete until I am united with him in heaven. I feel his arms around me, his eyes gazing in mine, the unconditional love of a son when I hold my grandson in my arms. His love confirms in my heart the love of my son Stephen who waits with all the other babies who I know are the holy innocents of our day for the love of their parents as they pray for them to turn to God's mercy so they will be united in heaven as well. I know this to be true in my heart and they pray with me for all the mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc. who still are in darkness from the sin of abortion. Pray that I will have the courage to speak out and be a voice in the darkness if this is God's will for me as He walks before me preparing the hearts of those who need to hear before it's too late. God Bless you, Chad, and continue to shower you with abundant blessings. Always remember to ask the Blessed mother to shower you with graces. I have learned there are so many graces she has that are not being asked for and we must ask for her graces as much as possible.

Chad and Ashley,
Thank you so much for the book mark. I have placed it in my book. I was so pleased to have such a wonderful book mark to treasure with my book. Your book brought me on a great spiritual journal. Thanks for renewing my faith and making me realize that we have to put our trust in God. My family and I will continue to pray for Eli.

Dear Chad & Ashley,
Came upon this prayer and had to send it your way. Could there be a reason that all of this is happening to Eli in the same time frame of Pope John Paul's beatification? We will trust...here's the prayer:
Blessed Pope John Paul, you loved the little ones and children were dear to your heart. Please intercede for Eli to our father in heaven and through your merits and intercession, may he be healed and give honor and glory to God Our Father, Jesus Our Savior, and the precious Holy Spirit. May he walk this earth, giving praise and glory for the great things done for him through your intercession. Blessed Pope John Paul, please, pray for us.

I met You at the Man to Man conference. I had the opportunity to read the book this weekend. The book brought me back to my own birth some 44 years ago. I was born with out an esophagus and at that time it was was very rare. I was rushed to Ochsners Hospital in New Orleans. After numerous surgeries i was able to come home at the age of 5. I was very blessed to have a Mother who never left my side. The Doctors told me that I would never live past 13. I was able to graduate from UL and have a successful career for the past 25 years. The lord has truly blessed me and my family as he has yours. This book has inspired me to a deeper prayer life. Thanks for sharing your story. I would love to visit with you sometimes.

Just wanted you to know that your family is in my prayers. Eli is in God's hands and He will deliver him once again. Your faith inspires me as I am in a "valley" right now. Fear grips me every day and I need to surrender it to God like you did. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me !

Hi Chad,
I noticed a pic in the video with a group of men. The first thing that came to mind was you standing in the center of the crucifix. You are carrying a heavy cross but you and your family are centered there in prayer for a reason. Just know that we are all on our knees praying for little Eli and your family and you are not alone in this journey.

Chad,
I want to start by thanking you for excepting the role that God has given you as a man, father, son, teacher, and role model in the Body of Christ. My prayer is that more men will step up the way you have! I know that our Lord will reward you for your faithfulness. When you came to our school and poured out your heart in not one but TWO talks in one day on top of spending three additional hours on an even more personal level with the students in the classrooms, the impact you made was truly annointed! As this school year comes to a close, I sometimes wonder if I gave it my all and allowed God to work through me as much as possible. I believe without a doubt that you have done this. You, Ashley, Ephraim, and of course, Eli will always in by prayers.
Your sister in Christ,

Hi Chad; Sometimes we wonder at the end of the day, did I make a difference? After your day in Natchitoches at St. Mary's School last Thursday I can answer that question for you with a big YES! Your presentation to the junior high and high school students left them more knowledgable and excited about being Pro Life. It also gave them a sense of the importance of serving others and having a strong faith in God. Your ability to relate directly to them during their religion classes took the presentation that they had just seen to another level. The impact that you had on the "young men" of the school was also so important. To hear the message from a regular man that they could relate to was different from so many messages that they have heard in their lives. I realize that just the time you spent at the school was over a full day's work, but to be able to give that evening's presentation to the local community was just as important. I've talked to a dozen people in attendance for that event and each one felt like you were talking directly to them. From Pro Life to pro love, service to others, intercessory prayer and more, you lifted up that group to new levels. I will pray that you can continue to use your talent to reach all those that need to hear it. I also would like to thank your administration at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette for sharing you with us. You bring glory to God, His Saints, St. Thomas More High School and your family everytime you are able to share your story. Thanks again, David

You will never know how you touched our lives and the lives of so many here in Natchitoches. I think Maggie's teachers, fellow students and friends were reminded of the fact that she is such a great miracle and perhaps will understand her a little better. Thank you so much for letting God lead you here and give all of us a "reality check." Brenda Stamey is going to give me your address. I would love to meet your wife. I have prayed for her already and will remember her daily as so many have lifted me up in prayer the last 16 years. It is not easy...but worth it!!

Dear Chad, thank you for your inspirational talk tonight at SMH. I lost my husband this year after a long battle with cancer. During his illness, we too experienced many events that were nothing short of miracles. I learned first hand that the Holy Spirit is real, experiencing that wonderful feeling of extreme warmth and calm that is beyond description, but leaves you aching for more. But alas, God called him anyway. Until tonight, I have been struggling with my faith, because I truly believed he would be healed. After listening to you tonight, I am inspired to be patient, trust God's will, and listen for his voice in my life. He will eventually show me his plan. Thanks for your wonderful message of faith!

Hi Chad I was the lady you spoke to in Natchitoches that worked with special needs children, saw a child with Eli's conditon walk, had a still born daugher Piper Marie Barnes, Smell roses when I pray deeply, and just asked and recieved the gift of tounges. He will walk I know it. Who knows Piper may be the little angel of special children and will appear to you one day. If she does please let me know. I always have prayed that she will have a place in this world. YOu see my son climbed up on Santas lap and asked for a baby sister for Christmas. Little did I know I was expecting one for around his birthday in August. I suffered high blood pressure and chicken pox and lost her at 7 months. I knew she was gone for two weeks I went deep into prayer while I waited.God spoke to me the whole time. The night I delivered her I told God to give me a sign that she was OK. I saw Jesus face in a tree outside my bedroom. I slept like a baby Since then I have had many miracles. Please keep me posted 318-354-0919 God Bless your sister in Christ Tarra Barnes. Eli Will Walk...
I have had many signs that God is very real in this world. My prayers come true and are very real. I don't know why I am worthy of these gifts but I know God wants me to share them with as many people as I can. I thought you would share a little of my story sometimes too. I give you permission. God Bless

You made me realize that I am not alone. Like I told you today I had an amazing miracle happen to me and when I herd your story I felt like God spoke through you. When you said you would put me on your prayer list at school I felt so greatful that you would do that, honestly you are now my hero!

Thank you, Chad! You really touched our hearts when you came and spoke with my school today. You are soooo inspirational. Your faith in God is just so amazing. You really taught me to not be mad at God when He doesn't automatically give you everything you want and how we should have faith and pray about it. I was so into it while you were talking that I forgot everything around me and I was only focused on you and what you were saying. I really hope Eli is doing great, you have two of the cutest kids EVER! You and your wife have touched so many lives already with your amazing story. I will pass the word to everyone I know about your book! Hopefully one day, you'll be going all around the world touching even more people's lives. We love you and we are praying for you and your family! :)

Chad,
I enjoyed your testimony last night at Carencro Catholic. I don't know of 2 other men that have as much in common as the 2 of us. We are both teachers, we both won LEF, we both have sons that are disabled (but we know that they are really Angels sent to us by God, and we have the most amazing wives in the world. I know that we couldn't talk that much last night because of our tears, but I would love to talk more when you get a chance.

Mr. Judice,
I received your book today as a Christmas gift from my sister. I read it in its entirety tonight. The story is very uplifting as I too have a daughter with spina bifida. I could relate to your journey completely. We were told the same thing about her 16 years ago. I am proud to say she is very healthy and not only walks but was a cheerleader for her catholic school for 3 years!!! She was also on the homecoming court for her school at St. Thomas Aquinas in Hammond this year! God has wonderful plans for her and for Eli. We have always trusted in Him and looked for His guidance in all the she does. I believe she was an angel sent from God to bring us closer to Him. She has always had an awe about her from the day she was born! It's almost as if she walked and talked with God before she came to earth. I also believe Eli is an angel from God sent to you and Ashley. Look what He has done to your lives!! How amazing!! God Bless your family and I will pray daily that Eli will do as well as my Kristen has done!!
Thanks for sharing your story!!

Hi Mr. Judice:
I have been trying to get your book. I will visit Judice Inn and the Catholic Book Stores today and this Christmas Weekend. Your book and my daughter's heatlth to improve are my only gifts I ask for this Christmas season. My daughter has suffered with chornic illnesses for the past 5 years. I am wits end trying to live with not knowing how to help her. On top of that, my husband's daughter gave birth to a baby boy with SB seven weeks ago. With her being a young mom and not living with us, we worry about the baby and are here for her. I have so many questions and concerns but besides your webite, there are not many books out there for me to do literature reading about this. I have been wanting to speak to Father Manny but I have no idea how to get in touch with him. If possible can you please help me get in touch with him? my email address is stephesam9@aol.com I would appreciate it. I am praying for your family. Your two sons are truly a blessing from God, just as my daughter and honorary grandson are. Thank you and may God bless you at this special time of year and always!

Chad,
Thank you for your testimony last night to the Court of Divine Mercy Catholic Daughters of Most Blessed Sacrament. I brought my husband your book and we discussed our faith journey. You see our journey began about two years ago and has continued to the present. God began with shaking up my husband's faith through the company he was working with. This worldwide company was suffering the results of the recession. After a few months of getting my husband's attention, God took his job away. We have three children in catholic school and my choice to go back to work after getting them all in school led me to real estate, which was also suffering. After God took all our money away, my husband's fine new pickup truck traded down to an older model and school tuition backing up into debt,we experienced a true walk in faith with God. I discovered that there is a very fine veil between faith and fear. Faith is truly an action but we don't do it alone. We learned that God is real, is alive, and is part of every finite detail of our daily existence. We also discovered that the suffering we experienced was not for us. God has a plan for our experience to touch someone's life. We know that it was for sure our children. They experienced their father's faith growing and how the love of God brought him peace. Also, their Christmas was quite different than previous ones. It had less of everything. I was very grateful for them to learn that Christmas is about a celebration on waiting for the Lord to be among us. We all saw the out pouring of prayers, food, anonymous gifts, etc. given to us by our community. Like you Chad, the gospel scriptures at mass became just for our hearts. Like God hand picked what we were suffering at that moment in time to strength us and prove His love and care for us. Many more beautiful things happened along the way. In August of this year after nine months of unemployment Philip got his dream job. It is with the very first company he interviewed with right out of college but didn't get then. He must travel over an hour a day to get to it but even that is a blessing for him. Philip is an chemical engineer with and MBA. Coming from St. Landry Parish where the people are warm and friendly by nature his career has been troubled with working with other that are the polar opposites for over twenty years. So when I say Philip landed his dream job that fact plays a huge role. Not only does he have the initial job he sought out, but the people are open, friendly, and just fun to be around. He comes home full of life and energy. God is great!
Thank you again for the beautiful story of your family. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to you and your beautiful family.

Chad,
Reflecting on your powerful presentation this evening, I look back to a mere six months ago when I was the winning bidder of your book in a silent auction at a Public Library fundraiser. I read your book the same evening I won it and, after marveling at what I had read,I simply had to go and find both you and Father Joe the next morning at Reds. I laid awake that evening in awe of these two people I knew were at Reds each morning at the same time as me but whom I knew so little about. I just had to profess to the two of you how much I admired both of you and how much I was moved by your story.
Words on a page rarely can convey a message as clearly as you wrote it. You have a special gift as a writer. And, as I learned tonight, as an inspirational speaker as well.
Your story is truly amazing. But what left me completely dumfounded was the fact that while I had been training with Robbie just a few months before your book came out, Ashley was literally next to me the entire time working out with Nellie. I simply had no idea who the two of you were and what you had both just went through. To see her as your wife and your sons' mother in the book caught me completely by surprise.
Ashley is truly a beautiful person both inside and out and I meant it when I told you that the photographs of her in the Face magazine captured that inner beauty. She was simply radiant. Your response to me that morning at Reds that "hey, when I saw the magazine, I thought - hey, my wife is really hot" was absolutely priceless. And - I have to concur - absolutely true.
I know I will never fully comprehend what the two of you go through on a daily basis, but I am convinced God chose two very special people to be the parents of Eli (and Ephraim). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If ever there is anything I could do for you, I would be honored to be of assistance.
Thank you so much for the personal invitation to come and hear your story. I am truly blessed to have witnessed it.
My best to you, Ashley and the boys,
Harold

Thanking God for you and your wife's stand for LIFE for precious Eli. I was volunteering at A Pregnancy Center and Clinic today and went to Judice Inn for lunch and saw the sign, purchased the book and can not wait to read it. My mission and purpose in life is to help people realize that God creates each LIFE with a heartbeat and abortion is NOT the solution ever! However, many including myself chose abortion without realizing the traumatic effects that we would live with for years until we receive HEALING! Praying for your family!

Blessed is your family, to have such faith and family, especially the gift of Eli.
My family has been through many of the experiences that yours have. Visits to Father Manny, hopes and prayers of an entire community. Very long hospital stays with an unknown medical outcome, but God and Father Manny told me that Shay, my eldest, would be fine. I never worried about her survival. I only worried about her trials--what she would have to go through.
We have had miracle after miracle in the chapters of our life--my third child, my first child, my fourth child and myself. They are too long to discuss here, but if you are interested in hearing my stories of God's mercies--please feel free to contact me: sara.frith@centerpointenergy.com, home: 337/367-6698, wk: 373-5227, or cell: 349-2148.
My home email address is sleeleblanc@bellsouth.net, but I never have time to look at that one. My 4 girls, three dogs, cat, and life, keep me too busy. But, I love to talk, and I have a story that I submitted to Guideposts that you might be interested in reading.
I met Chad at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Coteau, but I didn't want to take up all of his time, so I didn't get to talk to him like I would have liked to.
I know your life is probably busier than I could ever imagine, but if you ever get time, please email or call me.
You and your wife are a great inspiration to everyone. And, I am proud that your origin is South Louisiana. I know from experience, that we are a people, and a culture, unto our own.
Thanks for listening,

I just want you and your family to know that I will lift you all up in prayer everyday. I heard about you speaking at Our Lady of Prompt Succor and regret that I did not know about it. I am a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Teche in New Iberia and would love to have you come to our parish. Just looking at the video and learning a little about Eli and your family I can't help but want to hear more. You are very inspiring and I would love to have our teens and everyone come and hear your story about how walking by faith is stronger than walking by sight. We all become complacent in our busy lives and forget that without God...we are nothing. I look forward to having you at our parish real soon. We will make this happen. Thank you for sharing your journey and inspiring so many people. God Bless.

Your presentation has truly touched the lives of several youth as well as adults. I will encourage all the students at our next class to visit your guestbook to express their gratitude directly to you. Thank you for your untiring love in your story of a true Soldier for Christ. Our prayers are with you, Ashley, Ephriam and Eli.

I heard your story at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Coteau on 10/24/10.It brought back alot of memories from this last year. My family has also gotten 2 miracles from the LORD. In fact your wife took care of my grandson Carson Mallet from August 21, 2009 - October 18, 2010 in the NICU at Women's hospital. He was born at 27 weeks because his mom (20 years old) was severly sick and on a ventalator at another hospital. She had come close to death 3 times. We didn't know if she would make it.
Ashley is an "Angel" along with several nurses that helped comfort us and my son in our difficult time. When we would go visit Carson they were so concerned about his mom and would always ask about her. Well to make a long story short our lil man had no complications, just had to finish growing and his mom pulled thru also. With alot of rehab she is back to her happy self again.I would love for my son to tell his story one day to high school kids, about how not to take life for granted cuz it can be taken away from you in an instant. We learned that "Prayer is Powerful" Thanks for your story last night. Please tell your wife that she will always be an Angel in our book.Thank you Ashley from the bottom of my heart for the comfort you nurses gave my son during that difficult time. Yall have inspired my daughter to go to nursing school and she wants to specialize in NICU. Thank you both...

I know that God will give you all of the wisdom, strength, grace, and guidance that you need to continue on your journey. Thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us. To touch so many lives is such an awesome gift, so thank you for sharing a small part of Eli with us. May God continue to bestow blessings on you and your family.

Recently I started to have issues with my son. He had recently come out openly as a homosexual while I began to read your book. I did not know how to deal with this, as I am not particularly comfortable with the subject. But after reading your book, I am proud to say that I realize how lucky I am to have my son and how much I love him. This book has helped me to be a better father and also brought me closer to the Lord Almighty. Praise his name, and God bless you Mr. Judice.

Hi Chad,
It was a gift from God for me to meet you today. The fact that you knew Gabby right away is a testament to you care for others. Please thank your class for all the prayers for Gabrielle. Please also tell them that they are working as she is growing and becoming a great personality already. I really hope that you get to meet her and I would love to meet Eli. Your story is a lot like ours and it is so good to have someone who understands to chat with even if it just for a few minutes. Thanks for taking that time for me today. Eli and all of your family are in my prayers daily.

Chad,
I wanted you to know that I read the book a couple of days after receiving it. I appreciated your personal message in it. I sat down in the afternoon and read it cover to cover. Tricia read it the day before me... also cover to cover.
The book meant so much to Tricia and I after having had you and your family as part of our TBall team. I am so happy that Ephraim was on our team and had a good seaon with you helping out as a coach. It turned out to be a great summer for all of us... in more ways than one. God Bless, the Ancelets

Chad,
Hi, my name is Bart Himel. I have just recently read your book. As a matter of fact i dont read. i haven't read a book in over ten years probably, but when i started reading your book last night i couldnt stop until i was finished. You see my wife and I just recently had a new baby girl. She is 5 months old and her name is Gabrielle Parker Himel. You may or may not recognize that name, but her great grandmother talked to you when she bought your book in May. I know you see alot of people and talk to hundreds or even thousands so you may not remember. but anyway you signed it and put my little girl on the Father Seelos prayer line for her colostomy reversal. well any on to point.
When I read your book last night, its was like I was reading a book about the last year of my life. every doctors appt., every phone call, every test of faith, every emotion, and every exhausting minute of every day. you see my little girl was born with O.E.I.S. syndrome. this decease occurs in 1 of every 250,000 babies. it stands for (and forgive my spelling) omphalicill, extrophy of the bladder, imperferate anus, and spinabifada. its like 4 deceases in one. Just like eli, she also had a surgery when she was just born. She had hers at 3 days old. I wont go into every little detail, but she does have a caring bridge site. go to www.caringbridge.org.then visit her page gabriellehimel with no spaces.
Like i said, reading that book was like reading my life. You know my wife and i, id like to think were pretty strong in dealing with everything. n
but your book made me realize exactly what we are going through. when your in the moment you dont realize the full measure of the situation. when you look at it from from the outside looking in, it makes you have a greater appreciation for it.
I would really love to talk to you. my email is brthimel1@gmail.com. hope to talk to you soon.

Our prayers are with you and your family. We recently found out that my 17 yr old neice is having a babygirl. Whom will also be born with spina bifida. I just happened to be a doctors appt. with my mom in lafayette and came across a magazine with your story. At the time we didn't know of the results, her blood test at 3 mths showed negative for any disabilities. It was not until last Monday we got the news. Please know we will keep your precious child and your family in our prayers.

Hi Ashley & Chad Judice
I can very well understand you both as I am also sailing in the same boat. My daughter is 28yr. old who is having Spina Bifida, meningomyelocele. These childern are true soldiers, they fight every moment of their life. I haven't read your book yet, but soon I'll be doing so. The title of the book itself made me shed tears that is just because I am a very emotional person. My daughter was a surprise christmas gift for us. I was fearing to have a handicapped child and did get one. But truly God protects and leads us when we completely surrender to Him.

Chad, your family and your faith is truly an incredible thing. I have a son, and I cannot imagine having to face or make the decisions you and your wife have had to. In a world full of self righteousness and lost souls, your story is not only an inspiration, but a lesson for us all on what our true purpose here on this earth was designed to be. I pray that you and your beautiful family continue to grow together in faith and love. We are the lucky ones to have been able to share in your joy and peace in the Lord and his plan for your life.
Thank you so much for sharing.

I am inspired by this story. I respect and admire this family's journey. I believe they are teaching by example, many difficult and perplexing lessons, esp. to young people. Often, those young people don't have many examples of people doing what is right because it is the right thing to do. Often, many young men do not have a good example of what it is to be a man and a father through the difficult and trying times, but Chad Judice is such an example. Also, maybe some of those young people are teaching their own lessons to adults who don't always give them the credit or respect they deserve. I hope he loves his students as much as they love him. I would love to have Ashley's perspective, if she ever feels compelled to share.

Chad-
Last night after you guys left, I showed Jonathan your book. He read your message and I showed him where Emphraim so confidently wrote his name. He teared up and said, "I better put this down because I don't think that I would be able to stop reading it". He put it down and I picked it up. Before I knew it, I was back and forth in tears and on page 64. There was no way I could put the book down. Having met your family, it made the story come alive in my heart. I knew from the first day I saw Eli that there was something special about him. And his smile...it makes the world stop for a second! My nephew is diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, so I have a second hand understanding of the medical ups and downs you and your family are faced with, but what inspired me most is the deep love and connection you and Ashley have with God and his intercessor's through prayer and faith. Truly something I hope to accomplish one day in my own spiritual life and that of my family.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your beautiful wife Ashley, and those boys of yours! Ephraim and Eli are just precious!

The story of your journey with your young son is very powerful. It reminds me of our journey with our first born daughter, Carol. She was born with a cavernous hemangioma on the left cheek of her face. It grew larger and larger and hemorrhaged. Doctors said there was no cure. When she was 3 yrs. old, a new procedure was available which would reduce the size of the tumor making surgical removal an option. The risk was that she could bleed to death in surgery since the tumor was connected to a major artery. At Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church two days before the first of six surgeries, "Footprints" was published in the church bulletin. I believe to this day it was a personal message to me, to put my Faith and my precious baby in God's hands, for He would be there to carry us through the biggest trial of our lives.
May He bless you and your family with His everlasting Love and protect your precious Eli always.

I just finished reading your book. I looked forward to receiving it as my son talked about you and your inspirational talk you gave at Central Catholic High School in Morgan City for days. Actually, he is still talking about you - you made quite an impression on him. You and your family are definintely sent by GOD. I would love to be able to stay updated on your family. I find myself stopping often thinking of you and your family - and praying for Eli, as well as all of you. You have touched me deeply. I have always thought of myself as close to God, but I didn't understand the meaning of closeness. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Peace and blessings to you, Ashley, Ephraim, and especially Eli.
God Bless you all.

It usually takes me forever to read a book, I read yours in less than 2 days while in the hospital with my son. He was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, simply stiff joints. He has had some other issues that kept us in the hospital. We were given your book to help us in this tough time. From the time we found out to the time he was born we have had support from our family and church community. But reading your book has made me put more trust in God. It has made me realize I need to put it in his hands. Thanks for writing the book and sharing with so many. God Bless you and your family. Dear Chad, I want to provide yet more proof that things happen for a reason!
My husband and I,along with our two boys, are volunteers for the Catch A Dream Organization. We allow children with life threatening illnesses come to our farm in Mississippi to hunt. This past December we sponsored a young man from Crowley, LA. The hunt was great and we became fast friends with his family!
Upon release of your book, Cathey sent us a copy. Our youngest child was also born with Spina Bifida! She knew this would affect us!
I immediately read the whole book. I am quite an emotional person, so I was in tears! Not just for the fact that I related to you and your wife, but because your book made me see where I was "slacking" in my walk with God!
My son in now 6 years old. We were told at his birth that he would not walk. I knew better! He can now run faster than me or my husband and is such a smart little boy. He will have bowel and bladder issues, probably the rest of his life. I figure this is such a small price for me, to be able to have him in our life!!
The day after my husband and I read your book, we realized we needed to turn everything in our life over to God again. We have always believed in God, but as you said in your book, sometimes we lose sight of what God really wants from us, and how we should go about being closer to Him!
Thank You again for your book! It has truly helped our family. Hope all is well with your family!

Chad,
I received your book as a gift from one of my friends. I read it in just a couple of hours. I have a daughter who was born with SB on 7/10/09 her name is Sarah Elizabeth. Reading your testimony about Eli was very touching. My husband and I went through the same feelings and worries. I too am a nurse and my husband is graduating this year and he is going to be a teacher and a "coach". We live in Houston, TX.

Dear Chad,
Your talk today at SPES was moving and inspiring. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to hear your story. Your love, faith and commitment for your family, and God is evident in your every word. Thank you for your honesty and for challenging me to have a better relationship with God. I have no doubt Eli will continue to touch the hearts of many. He and Ephraim are both very special boys and are lucky to have you as their dad. You and your family will remain in the prayers of mine.
God bless,

Wow Coach, this is incredible. What an amazing thought to think of how far you've come since last year when I asked you to give your first testimony at my Confirmation retreat. You have turned many hearts to God. Eli is a miracle, and you have given people to believe in the power of prayer. You're amazing Coach, thank you so much for EVERYTHINGGG you have done for me. You are truly God's Servant First.

Thank you for sharing your inspirational story. I can not express how deeply I was touched by your journey and the outpouring of support you received from the St. Thomas More family. It makes me extremely proud to have two children who are STM Alumni. May your entire family continue to be blessed.

Coach,
This is an awesome website that someone created for you. Thank you for all the prayers towards my grandpa and I wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to get more involved in my faith. I can honestly say that you have been my favorite teacher for as long as long as I can remember and can say that I have learned more from you and Eli than I have from any teacher. Thank you and I love you and your family.

Awesome that you are sharing your story and the faith journey of your family. Friends from Notre Dame in Crowley affirmed the success of your presentation, the KD's at ULL also....Read the book and appreciate the power of faith, the Fr Seelos Center and the fact that these things are not coincidences...........thank you

Ronnie sent me a copy of your book about Eli and I have shared it with the office staff and priests at my church in Houma, St Bernadette Sourbrious. They have all read it and asked that I send their thanks to you for sharing such an inspirational and personal story. Best wishes and prayers to Eli and his family.
